How it started
In 2023, The Força Foundation launched a dedicated healthcare initiative for Ukraine after recognizing an urgent and ongoing need for advanced pre-hospital trauma education. From that commitment, Força Ukraine was created, led by experienced medical professionals who volunteer their time on every deployment, and supported by skilled Ukrainian translators who help us maintain a consistent, on-the-ground presence.
Our mission is clear: bring high-impact, advanced trauma training directly to the areas of greatest need—places where opportunities for this level of education have historically been limited. Using an expeditionary model, we train Ukrainian medics, first responders, and civilians in the skills that save lives.
But advanced medical care is more than just clinical skills. It’s also the ability to recognize and respond to the invisible wounds of trauma. That’s why we’ve expanded our curriculum to include mental health professionals who teach advanced, trauma-informed care, incorporating the latest research on nervous-system responses, resilience, and recovery. These sessions help first responders and military personnel learn to “listen to the body,” understand stress physiology, and apply evidence-based strategies to protect their own well-being and that of those they serve.
Our long-term goal is to help Ukraine build its own sustainable, self-sufficient training capacity. We know that relying indefinitely on outside trainers is not the ideal solution—so “training the trainers” and investing directly in Ukrainian providers remains central to our mission.
As of October 2025, our team has:

Delivered $114,000 worth of medical equipment directly into the hands of Ukrainian providers
Raised $230,900 in support of Ukraine’s medical resilience

At Força Ukraine, every dollar you give is put to work with purpose and precision. Our commitment is simple: support Ukraine from within Ukraine. Whenever possible, we purchase supplies directly from Ukrainian manufacturers and medical supply websites, strengthening the local economy while ensuring that life-saving tools remain affordable, high-quality, and readily available to the people who need them most.
Thanks to this approach, we’re able to source some of the world’s best medical equipment right in Ukraine—like top-tier tourniquets from Dnipro TQ, as well as blood kits, gauze, chest seals, pressure dressings, and pharmacy-built cric kits. These purchases fuel both frontline care and local resilience.
Some items, however, simply aren’t produced locally—such as NAR chest decompression needles. For these critical supplies, we partner with our trusted friends at NAR and Chinook Medical, who generously offer discounts that help us stretch every donor dollar even further.
